Volaris is proud to be part of the Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance Index.

This index measures the performance of best-in-class companies who are members of the S&P MILA Pacific Alliance Composite and meet certain sustainability requirements better than their peers within a given industry.

Since 2020 – 3 years

Volaris has been a member of the BMV / S&P Total Mexico ESG Index since June 2021. This Index, which uses the S&P methodology, includes public companies in Mexico that have the best environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) practices. Volaris is one of 28 companies in the Index.

The safest ultra-low-cost airline in Latin America

Volaris was recognized by the prestigious Airlineratings.com site as one of the safest airlines in the world, being the safest ultra-low-cost airline in Latin America.

Since 2019 – 4 years

Empresa Socialmente Responsable (ESR) Distinctive. A distinction awarded annually by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) and ALIARSE, that accredits companies before their employees, investors, clients, authorities, and society as an organization voluntarily and publicly committed to socially responsible management, as part of its culture and business strategy.

Since 2009 – 14 years

The Code Top Member. Volaris, in alliance with ECPAT (End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes) is committed to sustainable tourism and the development of solutions that prevent and combat crimes related to the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in travel and tourism (SECTT).

Volaris was named the Latin American Environmental Sustainability Airline/Airline Group of the Year at the annual CAPA Aviation Sustainability Awards for Excellence.

Since 2022 – 2 years

Volaris joined the list of companies awarded with the Safe Travels Stamp, conferred by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) which will help to restore travelers’ trust. The biosecurity measures adopted by the airline since May 20 are aligned with the recommendations issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

2020 – 2021

Volaris is the first airline to receive the Tourism Safety Stamp of Mexico City, for the early and successful implementation of its biosecurity protocol.

Volaris was awarded with the Certificate of Good Health Practices, by the Tourism Development Department of Yucatán, for the excellent work carried out by Volaris, regarding quality standards and health measures.
